Instructors - Kaffee Mimun

Kaffee Mimun is an enthusiastic music educator who has had more than seventeen years of teaching experience. She obtained her bachelor degree in Piano Performance at Oklahoma City University in 1998. She moved to Southern California in 1999 to continue her harp studies with JoAnn Turovsky.
By 2001, Kaffee completed both her Performance Certificate and Masters Degree in Harp Performance at the University of Southern California. Currently, Kaffee is a Doctoral Candidate at USC, where she has acted as both a teaching assistant and has also been an awarded the music merit scholarship of Thornton School of Music since 1999.
Kaffee lives in Orange County with her husband and two young children. She performs regularly with various orchestras and early music ensembles. Kaffee also gives recitals, teaches, arranges, and writes music for both performance and educational purposes. Together with Tomoko Sato, they
released their first CD in 2003, featuring contemporary
music written for two harps.
