Harp and Musical Instrument Insurance
Harp Insurance can be purchased from several different sources. The first option is Homeowners/ renters insurance. This option is for people who are not going to remove their harp from their house. This must be put under a personal articles policy, usually. If this is the option you choose, please be sure to get all of the details from your insurance broker. It is good to know exactly what the policy includes and does not include. Also, be sure that the harp is insured for full replacement value and that you update this value every year.
The second option is to use a musical instrument insurance company. These policies were written to protect professional harpists as well as students or musicians who will be using their instruments outside of the house. Again, the replacement value of your harp should be updated yearly.
The company that is recommended by the American Harp Society
